ReplyDeleteOoh gosh you got the shape beautifully, the little wing tips turning out. In contrast, my desultory attempts to capture the heron on the Huddersfield canal have come to nought.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. This is actually a Cocoi or White-necked Heron. The Striated Heron is much smaller, with a grey and rufous neck.
ReplyDeleteAh yes - the name Cocoi seems familiar. I spent some time with birdwatchers, but took photos and no notes!
