Hilarious to see Aichauzu and Konainmo looking anything other than bolshy and in charge! This one is crying out for a 1890's National Geographic b&wh or even sepia treatment.
What I love about these pictures is there modern sensitivity despite the traditional costumes. In our church we have a Korean family who come to the main celebrations of the year in traditional Korean costumes even the grand children, though not there grown children who come in modern North American dress. There grandchildren show the same facial expressions as do these Amerindian children in full traditional best!
they look a bit apprehensive :-) love the outfits.
ReplyDeletePoor things, they look terrified. So sweet how she is holding her brother's(?) hand :)
