Arn't rainbows amazing things. I still get excited by them, a month or so ago I saw a rainbow smile. A short upturned rainbow directly up above in hebden. I will send you a pic from a friend who took it in the playground on his phone and texted me to tell me it was there! Win

Thanks Win - Actually, the upside down rainbow isn't a rainbow - it's caused by ice rather than water - remember the strange picure early last year with the sun shining and an arc around it, well it's those conditions which cause the circle of light and the fine ice splits it like a prism into seperate colour wavelengths. I guess the sun was too bright or too high for the colours when I got the pic last year. PS - It's not called an ice bow though, it's a circumzenithal arc!!!!
