They are brought from Brazil and cost a relative fortune! They have mechanical brakes with no wires - all steel rods - and they weigh a ton. The circle is there to make the frame stronger (I think) so that things can be carried on the crossbar - often people, but I've also seen full gas bottles carried. Most people build a small wooden shelf on this bit of the bike to help carry small loads! The Photographerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01942074166587563671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998418085057363941.post-83872553399984473022009-06-25T06:16:15.123-04:002009-06-25T06:16:15.123-04:00It's amazing how easily seems to adapt to rapi...It's amazing how easily seems to adapt to rapidly changing conditions.<br />Personally I prefer the alternative, but it's a great shot nonetheless.James Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09733677920553917209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8998418085057363941.post-54029966779375710352009-06-24T17:46:48.350-04:002009-06-24T17:46:48.350-04:00These 4 travellers form a good group.
